Refund policy

The rule is no refunds. The rule has exceptions, and asking for one is not an imposition - this page says exactly where you stand.

The rule

Subscription payments are non‑refundable, including for a period you have started but not used.

You can cancel at any time and keep every paid feature until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not bill you again after that.

The reason is straightforward: the AI tools cost us real money the moment you use them, and the cost is incurred per call rather than at the end of the month. There is also a free tier that is not a trial - the entire visualiser works without paying anything, so you can judge the software before subscribing to the part that does not.

Where we do refund

We will issue a refund, without argument, in these cases:

  • You were charged twice for the same period, or charged after cancelling.
  • You were charged the wrong amount, or a price change was applied without the notice our terms require.
  • The paid features did not work for a material part of the period, because of a fault on our side, and we could not put it right.
  • We discontinued a paid feature mid‑period. In that case we refund the unused part without being asked.
  • The charge was not authorised by you - tell us and we will refund it and secure the account.

Where the law gives you a right

Nothing in this policy takes away a statutory right, and where consumer law in your country gives you a right to cancel or to a refund, that right applies regardless of anything written above.

In particular, if you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA you normally have a 14‑day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Because a subscription gives you immediate access to digital content, you may be asked to acknowledge that starting it straight away brings that right to an end. If you subscribed and have not used any AI feature, tell us within 14 days and we will refund you in full.

Anything else - just ask

Beyond the cases above, we will consider any reasonable request on its merits. Subscribed to the wrong tier, meant to cancel and forgot, signed up for a gig that fell through, or simply barely used it - write to us and say so. We would rather deal with it directly than have you feel stuck, and a plainly stated request is usually enough.

We may decline where a request is repeated, where the allowance has been substantially consumed, or where the account has breached the terms or the fair usage policy.

How to ask

Email hello@imagey.ai from the address on the account, with the date and amount of the charge and a sentence on what happened. We aim to answer within three business days.

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank usually takes five to ten business days to show it. If you paid in a currency other than US dollars, the amount returned is the amount we received, so an exchange‑rate movement between the charge and the refund can leave a small difference we have no control over.

How to cancel

Open the AI tab in the app and use the billing link, which takes you to the Stripe portal. Cancelling there stops the next renewal immediately. You do not need to email us, and we do not ask you to explain why.

Chargebacks

If something looks wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback - it is faster, and we can usually just fix it. A chargeback raised without contacting us first may result in the account being suspended while the dispute is resolved.
